SIM unlock code not working (T-MOB101, hboot1.61, unlocked, S-ON)

Hi guys maybe you can clear my confusion :)

The device is a used one bought on the internet from Austria. It does have a SIMlock for T-mobile Austria/Germany (CID= T-MOB101) and I have a unlockCode from the carrier.
It's also unlocked and has CM running.

The issue is that it won't accept the unlockCode upon putting in another SIM. Do you know if this can be caused by the unlocked bootloader/ custom firmware?
If it's caused by that, are you able to supply me with a working RUU or backup? I'm unable to find a fitting one...
