Can S7 Edge root disable native android audio upsampling?

Now that the US versions of S7E are rootable, can the native audio upsampling for all apps like bandcamp, youtube, stitcher and other apps be disabled for output via micro-b to a DAC? This would be my main reason for rooting since NOVA launcher does all the customization I need.
