(W.I.P) Stripe OS Android ROM

Nutshell
Stripe OS is a brand-new ROM work in progress. I have been planning this ROM since 2014, and I'm ready to share my idea with the world.

Basics
Based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Simple, clean skin
No bloatware
Custom features

Dev progress?

Need contributors.

Info for people interested

I have not yet started working on Stripe OS, and need people to help me get started.
I'm extremely new to Android development and need all the help I can get.

Heck, I don't even know if you're allowed to use stock Nexus images!

If you're interested in helping me, go ahead and leave a reply. I'd like all the help I can get! (yes, i've said this a lot.)

Extra information

•I'm a n00b to Android development

•Don't know if ROM donations are allowed on XDA

•Yeah that's it...

touchscreen calibration and some other (related?) things

Backstory (because context is always nice)
Before I got my ZenFone2 I was using a samsung galaxy s2 as my main phone.
It was a really nice phone and became even better after some small modifications such as attaching a bluetooth keyboard to it and converting the touchscreen to a touchpad (like those things on laptops). With a chroot linux installation it actually felt like a pocket computer. However it had rather low processing power and very little ram and a small screen with a low resolution. The zf2 with its good specs and x86_64 would be much better suited to be truly a pc in the pocket....

So I wanted to make the touchscreen on the zf2 behave like a touchpad.
According to this, I only need to change 1-2 lines in an .idc file.
This worked well on the sgs2 (filename:sec_touchscreen.idc) but on the zf2, there is no such file.

After looking through a bit of kernel code, I found out that the file should be called "ftxxxx_ts.idc".
After creating the file you can start to calibrate the behaviour of the touchscreen.
This might be helpful: http://ift.tt/2ambPwO

touchscreen --> touchpad
Here are the basic steps of making the touchscreen behave like a touchpad.
Simply run these commands in a root shell
Code:

echo "touch.deviceType = pointer" >> /system/usr/idc/ftxxxx_ts.idc
echo "touch.gestureMode = spot" >> /system/usr/idc/ftxxxx_ts.idc
chmod 544 /system/usr/idc/ftxxxx_ts.idc
chown 0:0 /system/usr/idc/ftxxxx_ts.idc

or add these two lines manually to the file (also create if it doesn't exist).
Code:

touch.deviceType = pointer
touch.gestureMode = spot

Make sure the permissions are correct (544 or rwrr).
ALSO IMPORTANT: Make sure that there are no mistakes in the code before running it (because I might have mistyped something....but I don't think so).
(Soft-)Reboot for the changes to take effect.

touchscreen <-- touchpad
To revert the changes, you can delete the file or change
Code:

touch.deviceType = pointer
to
Code:

touch.deviceType = touchscreen
You can also comment out the line.
Code:

#touch.deviceType = pointer
This should make it behave like a touchscreen again.

What next:
I still need to find a way to change between touchscreen and touchpad mode on the fly without doing the editing and rebooting.
Maybe an xposed module could do this, but I have not found one and I have no idea how to write one.
Therefore.....If anyone knows how to do this, please help.

Need help recovering TCL/Alcatel Trek/AT&T Trek HD (9020A) 8" Tablet

Hi all,

If someone could please help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I have an AT&T Trek HD (9020A) 8" tablet. Here is a link
to specifications that I've found while trying to research how to recover the device. The most detailed information
about the tablet I have found is on pdadb.com with this as the datasheet: TCL Trek HD LTE Datasheet
[http://ift.tt/2amcajj]. When I boot normally by just pressing the power
button for ~1 second, absolutely nothing happens. When I hold power down and volume up for 5 seconds it shows the
AT&T splash screen for 2-3 seconds the displays the following:

Android System Recover <3e>
LMY47V release-keys

Volume up/down to move highlight;
Enter button to select.

English
中文
日本語
Deutsche
Español
Français
Português
Pусский

I select English from the menu and I am presented with the following:

Volume up/down to move highlight;
Enter button to select.

English
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from phone storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down

Here is the result of each option:

reboot system now - This results in the device 1st loading the AT&T splash screen followed by the Android 'Welcome'
screen. On this screen there is an error message that immediately displays:

Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped.
OK

If I click [OK] it immediately displays the error message again.

I can't get past this error message to setup my Google account on the device.

I am not sure how to proceed from this point. I have search ALL over for a factory or alternate ROM for this device
and I can't find anything that specifically addresses this device. I found that datasheet link but I do not know what
to look for to see if perhaps there is another device's ROM would work on this device.

Any help is greatly appreciated. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Mike

Problems with my ZTE (Z667G)?

First off, I apologize if i epicly fail at this post since I am a n00b and it's my first time here, and I'm hoping you guys at XDA could help me with this, but My Tracfone ZTE Z667G (Zinger?) has many issues. It won't boot up past the ZTE logo, my computer doesn't recognize it, and I can't seem to boot into recovery. I am confused because I have not done any modifications to it whatsoever. I also cannot seem to find any stock roms for it or any tools to restore it. I've tried various ADB & Fastboot commands and it just says "waiting for device..." since my computer wont recognize it. :(
The battery is new and I need my data off of the phone and I have no idea what to do. Any suggestions? Thank you all in advance.
